Credit Card Policy
A Psychic Haven - Psychic Readings by Melissa
Alvarez currently accepts Master Card, Visa, American Express, Discover
and eChecks thru PayPal (a secure credit card processing
center).
So many people wanted to pay by check and now they can if they
have an account with PayPal. You will need to set
up your own account through PayPal in order to use
these services.

In good faith, I have been doing readings paid by eCheck prior to the
check clearing. Due to several eChecks not clearing, and the customers
never making good on the payment, I will no longer do readings until the
check has cleared. It can take up to 7 business days for the check to
clear so I want you to understand that I will wait the full 7 days. If
this is a problem, please pay by credit card.
All readings from Melissa Alvarez offer 24 hours as a
cancellation period in the event that you order the reading and then
decide a few hours later that you don't want it. As the credit card
transactions are in real time, if you do change your mind within the
first 24 hours your card will be credited for the amount of the
purchase. After 24 hours your reading will be completed and you will not
be refunded the amount of the reading. Yes Melissa is VERY UPFRONT about
her no refund policy because this is an entertainment service not a
product.
All orders for psychic readings are delivered via
email with seven days. Psychic readings are not refundable.

Privacy Policy
The reading that you are given is personal and private
and is only for you. Your reading is not discussed with anyone. Melissa
usually doesn't remember details of the reading after completion as she
is just a vessel for the information to flow through. No information
such as email addresses etc. are released or sold to anyone whatsoever.
Your reading with Melissa will be completely confidential.

Shipping Policy
All readings will be sent through email.
Please make sure that the email address you submit is
up to date and working properly. Always submit an alternative email
address in the event that your primary email address goes down. No
refunds will be given due to email addresses that don't work..

Return Policy
Refunds are not given once the reading has been
completed. This is completely understandable as there will be people who
want a reading and will then say that they didn't believe it or that
that the reading wasn't applicable to them just so they can get it for
free. It takes effort, concentration and time on Melissa's part to do a
reading and to get it to the person requesting it. Credit card refunds,
cash refunds, or money order refunds will not be issued on a completed
reading. Refunds will not be given if you do not receive your reading
because your email isn't working - instead they will be resent to a
working email address that you provide. That's why additional email
addresses are requested several times to make sure the reading can be
delivered to you.
Melissa is VERY UPFRONT about her no refund policy
because this is an entertainment service not a product.

Release and Confidentiality Agreement
By offering psychic readings to the public
Melissa Alvarez understands that people will
seek her services because they believe in her abilities as she believes in
them. The completion of the Disclaimer, Release and Confidentiality
Reading Request form prior to purchasing a reading is required.
Melissa Alvarez realizes that there are some people
who are in need of professional help from a medical doctor or from a
psychiatrist or psychologist. Others may be seeing therapists or other
professionals who are advising them with their situation due to medical
or other reasons. Melissa Alvarez is not a medical doctor
and does not do medical readings and her services are not to be used by
those she reads for as a replacement for the professional diagnosis by a
trained medical professional of physical, mental, or psychological diagnosis and therapy, or in substitution
of the seeking of assistance from a physician, medical doctor,
therapist or counselor. The diagnosis and treatment of
physical, emotional, and mental disorders requires the services of trained medical
professionals. The psychic readings provided by Melissa Alvarez should
not be used as a substitute for seeking professional
care for the diagnosis and treatment of any medical and/or psychiatric
disorder. The risks associated with improper diagnosis or
treatment can only be minimized by consultations with medical and
mental health professionals. Do not use the impressions given to you during
Melissa Alvarez's reading to replace any advice that has been given to
you by a professional person, doctor, therapist or member of any
professional medical field. Anyone who is obtaining professional help
should continue to do so.
As with any information that you may
receive from family, friends or psychics, your destiny is always in your
hands and the final decision you make must ultimately come from within
you.

any mirror sites, disclaims all liability in regards to the
advice given to her clientele. By submitting the reading request form
and then purchasing a reading you agree that you:
1) have voluntarily decided to
participate in this reading;
2) are 18 years of age;
2) have requested a reading from Melissa
Alvarez of your own free will;
3) understand this reading isn't a
substitute for any type of medical, psychological or professional
therapy or treatment;
4) understand and agree that it is your
own responsibility to decide whether or not you require professional
counseling or medical treatment and should you require such services to
seek them on your own as needed;
5) understand the reading is for
entertainment purposes only;
6) are voluntarily participating in the
reading and are accepting complete responsibility for your own medical,
mental, emotional, psychological, spiritual and bodily well-being;
7) on behalf of yourself, your assigns,
heirs, executors, guardians and other legal representatives, release,
discharge, waive and forever relinquish Melissa Alvarez, including her
agents, employees, officers, directors, employers, and any other person
associated with Melissa Alvarez, from any an all known or unknown claims
resulting from, arising out of or in any way connected with information
you may or may not receive during your voluntary participation in a
reading with Melissa Alvarez and agree that under no circumstances will
you, or any person associated with you as a result of your reading
attempt to present any claims against, prosecute, sue, seek to attach to
the property of Melissa Alvarez, and you waive all claims, demands and
actions that you, anyone associated with you or any other participant in
the reading currently or hereafter may have for any injuries you may
suffer or believe to suffer because of or during your participation or
involvement in a reading resulting from any actions, statements, answers
to questions or omissions made by Melissa Alvarez or any person
associated with Melissa Alvarez;
8) understand and agree that in the event
any claim for damages shall be brought or prosecuted against Melissa
Alvarez or any person associated with Melissa Alvarez as a result of
your actions, omissions, or other act, that you and/or your estate shall
indemnify and hold harmless Melissa Alvarez and all persons associated
with Melissa Alvarez from any and all claims, actions or damages made by
you or anyone associated with you including the cost and expense
associated with defending such actions or claims;
9) understand that all information
provided to you during your reading is considered confidential and shall
not be disclosed except as required by law;
10) have read this reading request form
and you fully understand the legal consequences of signing this
agreement by your own handwriting on a snail mailed copy of this form or
by your electronic signature indicated below and that this reading
request includes a release of liability between Melissa Alvarez and
yourself;
11) are signing this reading request,
liability release and confidentiality agreement form by your own free
will while fully comprehending what you are doing and the result of your
actions.
